Mountain Maryland Alliance for Reproductive Freedom is a grassroots organization advocating for reproductive healthcare and justice in Allegany and Garrett counties. We strive to provide accurate and factual education to the people in our community and support their choices to have the families they want when they want.
OUR FOCUS
Our organization engages in a range of programs and opportunities to support reproductive healthcare and justice in our community. We support access to affordable healthcare, comprehensive sex education, and resources for family planning. Our focus is to empower individuals and families to make informed decisions about their reproductive health. We also focus on supporting all people in their reproductive journey, supporting the LGBTQIA community as they seek reproductive justice in Mountain Maryland.
Affordable Healthcare
We strive to make healthcare accessible and affordable for everyone in our community. We support, lobby and advocate for affordable healthcare services for reproductive health including family planning, STI testing and treatment, and prenatal care.
Family Planning
We provide educational resources for individuals and families to plan their families. We can direct people in our area to service providers who will provide healthcare options like contraception, pregnancy testing and counseling, abortion services, and support for adoption and parenting.
Community Outreach
We work closely with our community to provide education and resources for reproductive healthcare. Our outreach programs include attending community events and partnerships with local organizations and healthcare providers.
Reproductive Justice
We believe that everyone has the right to make their own decisions about their reproductive health and should have access to the resources they need to make those decisions. We advocate for reproductive justice in our community by supporting reproductive healthcare access and fighting against policies that restrict reproductive rights.
Advocacy and Policy
We advocate for policies that support reproductive healthcare and justice at the local and state level. Our organization works to make sure that our community's voices are heard in the policy-making process in Maryland and at the federal level.
